Militia
Educational Study Program
There
is no intent that this program constitute the forming of any
private "militias", Para-military, or other similar type
organizations. Any such actions are not part of this
program.
Rather,
this program is a "Militia Educational Study Program",
and includes the following educational objectives:
Facilitate American citizens setting up, and / or
incorporating into new and/or existing marksmanship programs in their
town and city, historically related local educational
programs, that include
and promote:
a. the use of the terms "Militia",
"Minutemen", "muster" and related
terminology for the purpose of furthering knowledge and education
about the safeguards of our Constitution and Bill of Rights (thus,
for example, competitors will take on the name of historical
militias of the American Revolution and learn about that militias
history while they compete on the firing line);
b. the historical election of
"militia" officers, etc..., for competitions and awards,
for the purpose of furthering knowledge and education about the
history of such matters;
c. the use of historical militia flags in the competitions and
award activities while learning about the flags and the patriots
who used them;
d. incorporation of scenarios drawing upon the American Revolutionary
War period into marksmanship events and competitions for
educational purposes;
e. developing and promoting knowledge and understanding as to why
the American Bill of Rights provides that a well regulated Militia
is "necessary to the security of a free State";
f. developing and promoting knowledge and
understanding as to why the militia (an Armed Citizenry) is
essential to the preservation of liberty, and how militias of the
American Revolutionary War period functioned and operated;
g. developing and promoting knowledge and understanding as to the
Unalienable Individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms as being
justly considered as the palladium of the liberties of our
republic and deterrent to, and defense against, government tyranny
and oppression;
h. integrating these Educational Objectives into local marksmanship
competitions and firearm safety programs across America in order
to promote knowledge and understanding among gun owners and the
general public as to the true purpose of the Individual Right to
Keep and Bear Arms while they participate in shooting activities;
and
i. developing and promoting knowledge and understanding as
to how the above matters relate to the preservation of our
Constitutional Republic, liberty, and
freedom in present day America.
And
yes, modern firearms are to be used.
Thus, this Militia
Educational Study Program includes education about: the
right and duty of an armed citizenry as being a defense against
government tyranny and oppression; our American history; the
American Revolution; Declaration of Independence; Constitution;
and Bill of Rights. Thus, the marksmanship awards and
competitions have a theme grounded in the American Revolutionary
war period and
the fight against tyranny and oppression.
We
must all remember that an educated citizenry is essential to
preserving liberty and freedom. Think about it. If today,
you use the word "militia", even among those who
claim to be "gun rights advocates", you will find people
walking away from you, or stating -- "we don't want to use
the "M" word". Have you asked yourself -
why? The words are in the Bill of Rights and the U.S.
Constitution. Don't we at least have a duty to learn about
why our forefathers inserted such matters in our founding
documents?
Our forefathers provided us with
the tools, we need to remove the rust. That starts with education
and being willing to learn and understand what our forefathers put
everything on the line for. They put their lives and
fortunes on the line for liberty and freedom, and yet we hesitate
to use the term - "Militia" while in public.
This program will facilitate
a
nationwide educational environment for American Citizen gun owners and
American Citizen non gun owners - "WE THE PEOPLE"
- to learn about the duty and right to keep and bear
arms, and the duty and right of the Militia of the several states (as expressed in the U.S. Constitution,
Bill of Rights and historical background). It is hoped you will help spread this
program to all states, counties, cities and towns across America. Will you be the first in your
State, or your County? Send a link to your event so we can be add your
"Muster Call" event to our Patriot Events Link Page.
Start today by
