Minuteman Oath

"I, ___________________, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, against all enemies, foreign and domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same, and that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion, pledging my life, my fortune, and my sacred honor. So help me, God."

Another version of Oath

“I, _____ do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign or domestic, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservations or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office upon which I am about to enter; So help me God.”

(Note: Office may include your capacity of being an American Citizen)

Celia Hyde is the former chief of police in Stow Mass. and our peace officer representative in Massachusetts. Celia also owns a wonderful bed and breakfast, the Stowaway Inn, in Stow, Mass., where the whole Oath Keepers crew stayed during the weekend of April 19.

Comment

Each American Citizen, composing the great body of American Citizens constituting the Militia of the Several States, should take the Oath to support and defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic.  The fact is that "WE THE PEOPLE" (the Militia) are the ultimate earthly source of all limited powers which have been delegated by us to our governments. (See Declaration of Independence, U.S. Constitution, and Bill of Rights).  WE THE PEOPLE are THE ultimate earthly defense against tyranny and oppression. It is not only our God given right, but our affirmative duty to defend against  tyrannical and oppressive government.  On April 19, 1775, that "line in the sand" was crossed.  Today, the question is - will that line be crossed again, and if so, are we prepared to perform our duty?  Are we as  American Citizens (constituting "WE THE PEOPLE" - the Militia),  prepared to refuse to follow unlawful and unconstitutional orders, and prepared to defend the U.S. Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic - so help us God?  The Militia (WE THE PEOPLE) should be prepared to stand with those Military, Veterans, and peace officers who will honor their oaths to defend the Constitution, and who will NOT "just follow orders", and who will stand for liberty to save the Republic. Please see OathKeepers.org.

Their Motto is "Not on Our Watch".

As the Militia / Minutemen of today "WE THE PEOPLE", Our Motto is  "Guardians of Liberty ... A Nation of Minutemen" (c).

Will you take a stand and take the Oath?

All American Citizens (WE THE PEOPLE, The Militia of the Several States") must fulfill our right and duty to support and defend the Constitution.  We will stand with OathKeepers and other patriots in the defense of liberty and our Republic.

End Notes:

Following from OathKeepers.org (7/16/2009)

Oath Keepers is an association of currently serving military, veterans, and peace officers who will fulfill the oath we swore to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic, so help us God.

Our oath is to the Constitution, not to the politicians, and we will not obey unconstitutional (and thus illegal) and immoral orders, such as orders to disarm the American people or to place them under martial law and deprive them of their ancient right to jury trial.

We Oath Keepers have drawn a line in the sand. We will not "just follow orders."

Our motto is "Not on our watch!"

If you, the American people, are forced to once again fight for your liberty in another American Revolution, you will not be alone. We will stand with you.

In Re the Constitution:

Natural Born

"The right of the citizens to keep and bear arms has justly been considered, as the palladium of the liberties of a republic; since it offers a strong moral check against the usurpation and arbitrary power of rulers; and will generally, even if these are successful in the first instance, enable the people to resist and triumph over them...."

Quoted from Joseph Story* in, “Commentaries on the Constitution” (1833).

* Former Associate Justice of U.S. Supreme Court

"...The one thing that is absolute is that the Second Amendment guarantees a personal and individual right to keep and bear arms, and prohibits government from disarming the people...."

Quoted from: Silveira v. Lockyer - Dissent by: Judge Kozinski.
